V-STARS D

The V-STARS D offers high-speed, real-time 3D measurement from multi-camera configurations of the DynaMo digital cameras

V-STARS D operates in much the same way as V-STARS M, ie as an optical CMM, but is configured with multiple high-speed DynaMo cameras and supports a measurement rate of 10 Hz.  DynaMo is the latest innovation in remotely operated industrial photogrammetry cameras from GSI. It is very compact, incorporates a low visibility flash system, and has a wide field of view and large operating range.

There are two V-STARS D options, depending upon the required resolution of the DynaMo camera:

• V-STARS D2 – has a 2 megapixel sensor; measurement accuracy of 20µm + 20µm/m
• V-STARS D5 – has a 5 megapixel sensor; measurement accuracy of 16µm + 16µm/m

V-STARS D is ideal for in-place, real-time operation where cameras are positioned within a fixed, measurement cell configuration for extended periods of time. Thus the system is well suited to high-speed (10Hz) dynamic monitoring of object movement and deformation, as well as to repeat inspection within an assembly line environment. DynaMo can also function in a single-camera V-STARS mode.
