V-STARS S

V-STARS S8 provides the highest accuracy and versatility of the V-STARS automated 3D coordinate measurement systems. The highly portable system comprises a single high-resolution digital camera, the INCA3A, a notebook computer, V-STARS software for automatic data processing, and accessories, all of which fits into two small cases that can travel as carry-on luggage.

V-STARS S8 is capable of measurement accuracy of better than 1:200,000, and in routine operation achieves an accuracy of 5µm + 5µm/m (0.025mm@4m, 0.001"@160").

The INCA3A is GSI's latest generation of the revolutionary INCA digital photogrammetric camera. This rugged, light-weight camera incorporates a proven 8 MegaPixel CCD sensor with a powerful and robust industrial in-built PC based computer. It provides maximum ease of use and highest accuracy, and incorporates improved features over earlier INCA models, including an integrated strobe and removable battery, automatic exposure control and wireless connectivity.

The INCA3A can be operated off-line or on-line to the notebook PC.  In off-line operation, images are stored on removable flash memory, where the fast and efficient proprietary compression algorithm allows hundreds of images to be held on the storage media. In on-line operation, images are optionally transmitted via wireless connection or a light-weight power/network cable.  Multiple cameras can be operated simultaneously on-line for real-time measurement of dynamic or static objects.
